- 1 green tea bag or 1 tsp loose leaf green tea
- 1 thumb-sized piece of fresh ginger sliced or grated
- 1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup hot water
- Optional Lemon juice or raw honey to taste
Boil water and let it cool for 2-3 minutes (to prevent bitterness in the green tea).
Slice or grate the ginger for better infusion.
Place green tea, ginger slices, and cinnamon in a mug or teapot.
Pour hot water over the ingredients and let it steep for 7-10 minutes.
Strain if needed and enjoy!
For an extra metabolism boost, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
Store leftover tea in the fridge and reheat as needed.
Drink 30 minutes before meals for best results.
